Horse enthusiasts enjoy a day of fun (Examiner)
MONROE — Years ago, horse shows and other equine events were held regularly at Thompson Park. Some of that history was in evidence on June 27 as members of the Horsemen's Association of Millstone Township (HAMT) held their annual Fun Day on the grounds.

The Royal Lipizzaner Stallions will perform at 7 p.m. July 11 and 2 p.m. July 12 at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club, 655 Cook Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. The shows will benefit the Wayne County Sheriff's Mounted Unit. Tickets are $15-$25; VIP tickets are $75 on Saturday and $40 on Sunday.
